Final chance to enter 'Chef's Oscars'
It's the last chance to nominate a deserving pub chef for this year's Pub Restaurant Chef of the Year.
The closing date for entries for the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards, dubbed the 'Chef's Oscars', is only days away on Friday, February 27.
Organisers are looking for a successor to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner, Sussex chef Matt Van Wyck Chef, patron of the Rose and Crown in Mayfield, who transformed his pub into 'an oasis of cooked to order local produce'.
Nick Vadis, chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs, said they wanted to bring exceptional pub chefs out of the woodwork and into the spotlight. "Last year's champion was a shining example of a master of his trade and we need to find a pub chef who can fill his shoes. With less than a week to go before we have to start making decisions, nominators must get their skates on," he said.
To nominate a pub chef, call 020 8948 3870 or visit www.craftguildofchefs.org. Anyone wishing to attend the awards ceremony should book early to avoid disappointment.
