Binge-drinking may not be a bad thing according to a psychologist. A night on the town can help relieve the stress of the working week and is preferable to taking drugs a report has concluded. Sales of low-alcohol drinks are soaring despite their previously "uncool" image and a general decline in the amount of booze being drunk, according to a new report. The market for lower alcoholic drinks - known as LADs - is booming as sales in Britain outperform the beer market as a whole, increasing by 10% in just two years. The Kelham Island Tavern was left underwater when the River Don burst it banks in Sheffield during torrential rain in June 2007. It was forced to close for six weeks with its floor and cellar wrecked before recovering with the help of the local community.
