Camerons rolls out Brulines equipment

Hartlepool brewer and operator Camerons has installed beer-flow equipment from Brulines in a further 27 tenanted pubs.

Camerons already has a five-year deal with Brulines for dispense monitoring in 32 of its tenanted pubs. It said the move to roll out the equipment to a further 32 pubs was prompted by company plans to use the system as a proactive marketing tool, as well as a way of monitoring pubs' performance.

"The company has grown substantially through acquisition so to help us gather accurate trading information from all of our tenanted outlets we made the decision to install the Brulines system across our tenanted estate," said Camerons marketing manager Yousef Doubooni.

"The system has already demonstrated its worth by providing up to the minute data on beer dispensed, product losses and line cleaning information, which has helped our team work with licensees to address any issues.

"But we are now planning to use the data far more proactively, not only on a corporate level, but also on a pub by pub basis."

He added: "The Brulines data will be a vital tool in planning promotions for the pubs to beat seasonal downturns and maximise the productivity of busy times.

"And we will also be looking at the introduction of any new draught products and will use the system to track customer take up and monitor their sales helping us to ensure we have the right products within our estate.

"But we are also looking at how we can work with individual licensees to best use the data to help them, whether it is to plan ordering or staffing, identifying training issues to tackle wastage or to plan pub specific promotions to help boost trade.

Brulines sales director Clive Consterdine said: "We will be working closely with Camerons to make sure that both the company and its licensees are able to extract the maximum value from the data we provide."
