BDM and licensee relationship on agenda for forum
The relationship between Business Development Managers (BDM) and licensees will be one of the topics up for discussion at a British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) forum.
Also on the agenda for the forum are issues such as risk assessments and issues arising from the smoking ban and licensing reform.
BBPA members in the Midlands and North are invited to attend the day, which will include updates on the Government's alcohol strategy and the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS).
"We try to air the topics at these six-monthly forums that members want to hear," said BBPA Midlands secretary Richard Matthews.
"In the past we have looked at thought-provoking issues such as terrorism and organised crime and although this agenda will be a little lighter we will be looking seriously on how environmental and noise issues are impacting on pubs and whether developing a better relationship between company and licensee can help improve the bottom line."
The all-day event is being held at the Wedgwood Visitor Centre at Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on Thursday 9 October, beginning at 10am.
The event is free for BBPA member company personnel and places can be booked by phoning 01562 67708 or e-mail eznggurjf@orrenaqcho.pbz.
