Maloney joins Enterprise board
David Maloney has been appointed as non-executive director of Enterprise Inns. He was previously chief financial officer of the holding company for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, Meridien Services Company.
Maloney currently holds non-executive directorships at Micro Focus International, Cineworld Group, Ludoram and Carillion. He is also non-executive chairman of Hoseasons Holidays.
Enterprise Inns chairman Hubert Reid said: "David's expertise, knowledge and experience gained from senior roles in the UK and international service industries will further strengthen the board and be of great benefit to the company."
New Colliers CRE associate director
Ross Kirton has been promoted to associate director within the licensed and leisure team at the London West End office of surveyors Colliers CRE.
Kirton mainly works in acquisitions and disposals of high street bars, restaurants and health and fitness clubs, as well as the leasing of leisure outlets nationally.
His clients include Bay Restaurant Group and Innventive Leisure.
Kirton, who joined Colliers in 2005, said: "Colliers CRE has given me the opportunity to fulfil my potential and the support to win new clients."
Changes at Academy of Food & Wine
Training body the Academy of Food & Wine (AFW) has appointed Helen Glen as events manager. Glen previously worked for training groups People 1st and Hospitality and Leisure Manpower. In her new role she will oversee events such as Sommelier of the Year.
Three company directors have also been appointed: current AFW general manager Sophie Roberts-Brown; Conor O'Leary, food and beverages manager at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts' Andaz brand; and Matt Wilkin, chairman of the UK Guild of Wine Services.
