Pub is the Hub goes south east
The rural regeneration scheme launches an advisory group to help pubs diversify in south east England

Help is at hand for rural pubs in south east England that want to diversify.

A south east advisory group for Pub is the Hub, the Prince Charles-backed rural pub regeneration scheme, has been launched.

The chairman is Anthony Miller, a former Director of Humberts Leisure.

Pub is the Hub director John Longden (pictured) said: "The formation of this latest regional advisory group is a huge step for the organisation.

"I am delighted to have Anthony Miller as its Chair. He has pulled together a distinguished and experienced group and I look forward to working with them on pub projects in the local communities, particularly as we are seeing such an increase in diversification and the provision of local services coming from the Home Counties and the south east."

Other advisory groups members are: Anthony Miller, formerly Humberts Leisure; George Barnes, Shepherd Neame; Peter Wilkinson, Post Office; Chris Hedges, Punch Taverns; Tim Tempest, Fullers; Andy Clifford, Admiral Taverns; James Cuthbertson, Chartell Communications; Gary Selwood, Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises; Chris Heard, Marlborough Leisure; John Longden, Pub is the Hub; Richard Mernagh, Enterprise Inns.
