Greene King revamps induction programme
Greene King has revamped its compulsory induction programme for new licensees.
New tenants and lessees will first attend the "Go for Growth - planning for success" one day induction programme to help them get the basics right and develop a business plan as a living document with realistic objectives.
At the course, each licensee will be allocated a recruitment and training manager who will conduct follow-up visits to review the business plan and set and action plan if required.
After six months, the licensees will attend a second day's training called "Go for Growth - Focus for the Future".
This will help them plan to take their business forward over th next 18 months.
The programme is an extension of Greene King's "Go for Growth" scheme which scooped the Supreme Training Award at the BII National Industry Training Awards this year.
That course is available to licensees who have been in the trade longer than a year.
"The Go for Growth course has been recognised as industry leading so it made sense for us to adapt the award winning version into a brand new induction programme for new licensees," said Greene King director of recruitment and training Caroline Hollings (pictured).
"Licensees need intensive support at the initial stage of their business and this provides this alongside giving them the autonomy self employed licensees want and need."
