Catered4thekids is a new catering marque that sets the standards for food, drinks and service in children's menus and family dining. Business development expert Carl May and Karen Horsfall launched their website www.catered4thekids.co.uk at the end of November in association with The Publican to help parents find great places to eat.

"Diners are more and more concerned with what goes into their food," says Carl. "This is an easy thing to keep track of when you are at home but considerably harder when you take the family out.

"If pubs achieve the set of standards we have drawn up they are awarded a certificate and a listing on the website. We ensure accredited establishments maintain those standards by regular checks by mystery shoppers and monitoring of the quality of both suppliers and produce."

Enotria, one of the UK's leading wine suppliers, will lift the lid at Publican Live on the true importance of wine in pubs following new consumer research.

"We see the independent pub sector playing a vital role in the UK consumers' continuing love affair with wine," says Gary Keller, Enotria's national accounts manager. "There are huge opportunities for pubs to capitalise on the consumer insights we have and to build exciting profitable businesses."

Enotria will also be showing a tailored selection of wines at a diversity of styles and price points chosen in response to the research.

Italian coffee can be a very profitable line for a pub and Espressione is launching a new machine, the Double Amie, capable of making up to three espressos at a time.

The company's new e-commerce website is also set to go live. It promises to be more user-friendly and enable customers to purchase with less keystrokes and a help and advice section has been added. All Espressione's espresso and cappuccino machines will be on show.

Licensees can also capitalise on demand for healthier pub snacks by stocking Jack Link's, the world's best-selling meat snacks brand that's low in fat and high in protein. New for the show is the UK's first ready-to-eat Steak Bar, available in three flavours - BBQ, teriyaki and peppered.

The market for premium snacks is growing by 22.2 per cent year-on-year according to Nielsen, and the Kettle Chips brand represents almost 80 per cent of branded hand-cooked crisp sales having grown by 25 per cent to make it the fastest growing snack brand for the second year running.

Now Kettle Chips has launched a new variant in the 40g bag - Sweet Chilli, made using herbs and spices such as ginger, fennel and cayenne with the sweetness rounded off with a dash of soy sauce.

Following the huge demand for outdoor smoking solutions, Nationwide Oak has expanded itsrange of products to include garden rooms and conservatories.

Visitors will be able to explore a full-size oak building and find out more about the company's solid oak frame, fully-tiled buildings.

Scotsman Beverage Systems, one of Europe's leading suppliers of drink cooling and dispense equipment, is exhibiting an exciting range of new products including Glykool beer cooling systems and TRUpour taps, including the new Stella Artois font. Visitors can also check out ROTO tap a new rotary valve beer tap designed for trouble-free pouring, and VERTIpour, a dispense system developed exclusively for InBev.
