Licensees get ready for take off!

The Morning Advertiser has teamed up with Red Bull to help pubs get involved in one of the most creative, exhilarating and downright loony events of the year.

The Red Bull Flugtag brings the catchphrase "Red Bull gives you wings!"​ to life - literally.

On the 7 June 2008, 40 teams will splash down into the cool waters of the Serpentine in London's Hyde Park, in man-powered flying machines that they have designed and constructed themselves.

The Flugtag presents a great opportunity for licensees, which is why we've teamed up with the UK's number one energy drink to make this year a top event in the trade calendar and encourage as many pubs as possible to enter a team.

If you think you and your best customers have got what it takes to soar through the skies in your own wacky design then get together over a pint or three and dream up your pub's very own flying machine

Red Bull channel marketing manager Caroline Jacomb says: "The Flugtag is a really fun opportunity for licensees to engage their customers in a unique and hilarious way.

"Submitting an entry is not only a great laugh but could also help you attract customers 'back to the local' to get involved and help you build your flying machine."

Win great prizes

The winning team at the Red Bull Flugtag will have a choice of prizes, from flying lessons for your pilot, to flights in one of the world's top-performing two-seater aerobatic planes.

Or you could just take £5,000 instead!

Red Bull will reward any pub entries that make it to the final stage with a VIP coach party to the Flugtag, including travel to London, overnight stay at a top hotel and the best spectator seats in Hyde Park.

Sending profits sky high

The Flugtag will be supported with high-impact TV advertising and terrestrial TV coverage of the event, driving mass awareness and consumer demand for Red Bull.

Licensees can expect to receive a slice of the action as Red Bull's high-profile

consumer events are known to drive sales skywards.

Following last year's air race in London, Red Bull recorded its most successful month of sales ever, with more than 32 million cans sold in just one month, proving consumer events can have a direct impact on sales uplifts.

Top TIP

The best submissions usually include supporting evidence of how their Flugtag machine will shine on the runway, such as photos, videos and any other material you think will dazzle the selection judges.
