Gunning hard for AC Milan
This week promises some fantastic UEFA Champions League matches, with the fate of three top English teams hanging in the balance.
Manchester Utd drew 1-1 against Lyon at Gerland thanks to a late and nail-biting equalizer from Carlos Tevez.
Alex Ferguson's boys won't be wanting to take things so close to the wire this Tuesday and will be looking to close down Lyon early on in the match. With a home crowd behind them the odds must favour them (7.30pm, ITV1).
Likewise, Chelsea were tamed somewhat by a spritely and impressive Olympiakos and held to a scoreless draw in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie.
Olympiakos enjoyed a lion's share of the possession and will want to put pressure on Chelsea early on. Despite taking Olympiakos on at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Chelsea could find the encounter far from comfortable, which should make for a truly exciting clash (6pm, SS2).
Of the English trio, however, it is Arsenal who have the toughest challenge on their hands. The formidable AC Milan held the Gunners to a scoreless draw at Emirates Stadium, leaving Arsenal the unenviable task of beating Milan at the city's famous San Siro.
With the likes of Kaka, Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf in their ranks Milan will definitely provide the Gunners with some serious opposition, which should make for a suspenseful and electric encounter (Tuesday, 7.30pm ITV4).
Liverpool take on Bolton Wanderers on Sunday (Setanta1, 1.30pm) at the Reebok Stadium and will
hope to improve on their recent slightly bumpy form.
Meanwhile Man City could be dreading their Saturday clash with Wigan (5.15pm, Setanta1). Wigan have won on four occasions out of the five times they've met.
