What have you got planned at your pub for St Valentine's Day?

We have a well-supported quiz on Thursdays anyway, so we'll make that Valentine's Day-themed. We'll have a picture round of famous lovers and a love songs music round, plus a DJ at the end. We're predominantly a student pub and I suppose they don't always have the closest relationships - if you know what I mean. So it doesn't tend to get too busy.

We've got 70 people booked into our Thai restaurant upstairs, where we're offering a three-course menu and a glass of Champagne for £30. In the large bar downstairs we've got a backing singer from Westlife playing the crooner for the night - he'll be singing all the classics. We've got room for almost 600, so it should be a good night for us.

To be honest we don't make a very big deal of it. We're always busy on a Thursday, so we don't do anything different. We might offer a deal on Champagne, but I'm not sure yet. I find all that pink stuff a bit gimmicky. I'd rather keep things plain and simple - you certainly won't find any of those tacky heart-shaped moulds in my kitchen.

We're going all out on our food offer. We've got a gastro set menu at £60 per couple. There's loads to choose from, eight starters, eight mains and eight desserts, plus an interim course, which will be a sorbet. It'll be a good night for us, especially as it falls on a Thursday. We're fully booked already, mainly tables of two, but we've got a few tables of six, too.
