Best Bar None rewards Doncaster pubs
Richard and David McIvor picked up the top prizes at Doncaster's Best Bar None awards for the second year running.
The brother's town-centre venue, Manana Manana, won Best Bar at a ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse last week. The bar also scooped the Overall Winner award.
Richard said: "It's great - we're an independently owned Doncaster-based pub and we're competing with all the national chains, so it's really special for us."
The Hogshead on Hall Gate was named Best Pub and Walkabout in Priory Walk won Best Club.
Liam Gallagher of the St Leger Tavern took the Best Behind Bar prize and High Street pub Number 15 won the Friendliest Atmosphere award.
Best Bar None is a national accreditation scheme set up in 2003 to recognise the efforts of pubs, clubs and bars in creating good and safe working practices.
Mayor of Doncaster Martin Winter said: "The awards evening is a great way to recognise the efforts of pubs, clubs and bars in the town, who are working hard with the Doncaster Evening Economy Partnership to make Doncaster a safe, friendly and welcoming place for local people and visitors alike."
