David Bremner, Everards commercial operations director, is to leave the Leicestershire brewer after four years.

Everards' managing director Stephen Gould said: "Over the last year David and I have talked frequently about his Career Development plans. We agreed that it was the right time, subject to an appropriate role arising, for David to consider his next career move.

"As a result of these discussions, David has decided to accept a job as Business Development Director with MDA (Michael Davies Associates) based in Blackburn, Lancashire. MDA is a marketing solutions business which supports and advises companies, primarily in the leisure industry."

Gould said Bremner had been "pivotal to the development of several commercial initiatives during that period. Our Beer Brands, public relations profile (notwithstanding his own!) and award winning credentials have progressed immensely under David's stewardship".

Bremner will take on his new role with effect from March 31. Gould said: "In the period leading up to his departure, David will be working with me completing some outstanding projects.

"I will announce in a separate note how we plan to replace David to ensure that our Commercial and Marketing activity continue to progress.

"I am sure you will join me in congratulating David and wishing him well for the future."
