Sell More, Save More is back for more
Publican readers are being urged to step forward for year two of our industry leading 'live' project aimed at boosting the business of pubs across the UK.
Sell More, Save More 2 will once more see three freehouses - one rural pub, a high street outlet and a community local - chosen to work with leading suppliers over the course of a full year.
Running from January to December 2008 the project will follow the pubs' fortunes in the pages of The Publican, and on thepublican.com, as they get to grips with the challenges of their business with our category champions.
Pubs putting themselves forward for the project are asked to fill out a simple entry form available at www.thepublican.com/sellmore, or via the link on the right.
Shortlisted pubs will then be asked to provide a business plan, and be visited by the Sell More, Save More team before a final decision is taken in January.
The project is being launched as the first year of Sell More, Save More draws to a close. High-street pub Barcena in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, rural pub the Hack and Spade in Whashton, North Yorkshire and the White Hart near Taunton in Somerset, have all seen key successes over the course of the year.
Richard Podesta, licensee at Barcena, said: "We'd have been struggling with this business a long time ago if it hadn't been for this campaign. It's led us to all the right suppliers, given us some great advice and handed us lots of great ideas."
