Karaoke conman still at large
Manchester has been the latest target for the pub karaoke conman.
For the past few weeks, hosts across north-west England, the West Midlands and North Wales have said they paid around £100 up front to a firm known as CM Entertainment to host a karaoke competition - but nobody turns up on the night.

Punch host Vicky Huscros, of the Manchester Road Inn in the Astley area of the city, said CM Entertainment's boss, known as Colin Moore, also visited her pub.
She told the MA this week: "He came in a couple of weeks ago, saying he was looking to do a heat of a karaoke idol competition and he wanted a £75 deposit.
"I paid him and he said he would also look to hold the semi-final at the pub. The heat should have been on the Saturday, but he didn't turn up. I put a fancy dress party on, it was Hallowe'en themed, but we heard nothing at all. It wasn't a good night."
Huscros said Moore was fat with dark hair and had a Liverpool accent. He wore a shirt and tie.
