Best ideas happen in pub
A phone that locks to stop you texting your ex when you are drunk is just one of the ingenious ideas dreamt up by pub goers.
A new book, Fuzzy Logic published by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra), celebrates a collection of weird and wonderful revelations thought up over a pint.
Author Tom Waine has now thrown the gauntlet down for the public to submit their own "eureka" moments to celebrate the launch of the book.
The best ten ideas submitted to Tom by Sunday November 25th 2007 will win a copy of Fuzzy Logic, priced £9.99.
Some of the ideas in Fuzzy Logic include:
The Asbo phone lockSick of the cringing embarrassment of waking up to remember that text to your ex at 3am? Not anymore with this alcohol sensitive mobile phone.
The cheese Easter eggFor those who prefer savoury to sweet, try this egg-shaped cheesy treat.
Telescopic heel stilettosLadies, never fear that agonising walk home from the pub again, with these ingenious and (possibly) stylish collapsible high heels.
The human catflapNever get locked out in the cold again.
"Ever since there have been pubs, people have talked a load of nonsense in them," said Waine.
"Every day of every week, pub geniuses across the land sit in the comfort of their local, dreaming up schemes to make a quick buck.
"I've been extremely fortunate to witness some truly magnificent tosh being talked in pubs all around the country, and the best ideas are all gathered in Fuzzy Logic."
