Pub chef Anthony Williams: The head chef at the Williams Arms, in Wrafton, Devon, has been crowned British Turkey Chef of the Year. Anthony won the competition with his dish of turkey and smoked salmon roulade with roast garlic crushed potatoes and blueberry compôte.
Charity: Peach pub the Swan, in Salford, Buckinghamshire, raised £8,000 for charity at a fashion event where 120 people came along to buy designer outfits and accessories. The event included a Champagne reception and buffet lunch.
Beer and food: Camra has launched An Appetite for Ale, by Will and Fiona Beckett, which includes 101 recipes that match with different beers.
