Following Colin Wellstead's decision earlier this year to retire Neil Morgan has been appointed as Christie & Co's director & head of public houses and Andrew Moore has been appointed as head of restaurants.

James Shorthouse retains his position as Director & Head of Valuation and Advisory Services with responsibility for both the pubs and restaurants sectors.

"Neil and Andrew have both worked with Christie + Co for a number of years and have developed considerable experience within their specialist sectors," says Christie + Co's International Managing Director Chris Day. "Neil worked alongside Colin on the Punch Taverns letting project and he has been instrumental in the development of Christie + Co's expanding corporate lettings business, as well as securing some significant disposal instructions. Andrew Moore was responsible for brokering Tragus' acquisition of Ma Potter's earlier this year and, more recently acting for the Shire Group in its acquisition of Smollensky's."

Colin Wellstead will continue to be actively involved in both the Pubs and Restaurants sectors, working closely with James, Neil and Andrew until his retirement at the end of the year.

"We are grateful to Colin Wellstead for the outstanding contribution he has made to the business over the last 25 years," added Day.

"We will be very sorry to lose him at the end of the year, but we are also confident that Neil and Andrew will continue to expand our activities within the pub and restaurant sectors."

The company has also opended an office in London - its 17th in the UK.
