Adam Hyde celebrates 25 years service
Adam Hyde, finance director at Manchester brewer Hydes, is this week celebrating a quarter of a century working for the company.
The only Hydes family member currently in full time employment at the group, he started his career with Grant Thornton, where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1978.
Two years later he took his first job in the trade, working as a management accountant at Mansfield Brewery, where he stayed for four years.
In July 1982 he joined the family business and was later appointed finance director.
Commenting on his time at the Hyde brewery he said: "Whilst I have been working here for 25 years, it has really been part of my life for 50. I came here regularly as a child, and even helped out in my teenage years.
"I'm especially proud of what has been achieved in the last 8 years since the appointment of our managing director Chris Hopkins. In that time we have acquired more pubs, massively expanded our free trade business and really developed the brewery into a modern business with modern facilities."
Hopkins said: "It is fantastic to have a member of the family so intrinsically involved in the business. Adam's knowledge of the trade is invaluable and we look forward to working with him for many more years to come."
