Property firm Davey & Co has announced that it has merged with North East-based agent Ian Moralee & Co.

Davey & Co will add Moralee's Newcastle office to its existing operations in Oxford, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leeds.

Further offices are due to open in Manchester and London in the near future as part of its expansion plans.

Ian Moralee has been appointed sales director of Davey & Co with initial responsibility for developing the North of England territory through the company's existing Leeds office and the newly acquired Newcastle office.

Davey & Co managing director Paul Davey said: "I am delighted to welcome Ian and his company into the Davey & Co fold.

"The move represents a hugely significant enhancement to the geographical coverage of the company and offers us additional trade sector expertise.

"Ian brings a wealth of executive management skills to the business and we are both extremely excited about our future development plans, not only for the northern region, but the newly enlarged company as a whole."
