The European Union (EU) is looking to ban smokers from huddling in pub doorways, according to a report in The Observer. The newspaper says that the EU is looking at the possibility of the introduction of "smoking exclusion zones" outside public buildings, offices and in some outdoor public spaces such as bus shelters and stadiums.
