Chefs and food developers celebrate their success after last night's awards.

Chefs and food developers are celebrating their success in the PubChef Food Excellence Awards 2007.

The winners of the 22 awards were announced last night at a glittering ceremony in London's Dorchester hotel.

Mark Levy​ (pictured), head chef, from Nicholl's Group the Russell in Ellesborough, Buckinghamshire, took the industry's highest accolade - Pub Chef of the Year 2007​.

Branded Pub Company of the Year was awarded to Mitchells & Butlers​ and Unbranded Pub Company of the Year went to Peach Pub Company​. Catering Development Professional of the Year was awarded to Paul Drye​ of St Austell brewery and best food concept was won by Greene King's Wayside Inns​.

Gastropub pioneer Michael Belben​ received a special achievement award for his outstanding contribution to the industry.
