What do you think of David Beckham's move to America?

John Ellis

"Good riddance to him. Some of these so-called stars are vastly overpaid. The game of football used to be the working man's game but now the players are bleeding the working man dry. Nobody is worth the amount of money David Beckham is being paid. So I say 'good riddance' to him.

Let him go and bleed the Americans dry."

"I think that he is totally over-rated at that amount of money. I think he has been a fantastic player and his passing game was great, although he didn't score that many. But you can't blame him for going for that amount of money. I think his England career is over now. I suppose you have to say 'fair play' to him - he is not daft and has gone where the money is."

Neil Wright

"I think it's good for the Major League Soccer but a shame he didn't come back to the Premiership. Obviously money talks. The whole Posh and Becks thing will go down very well in Los Angeles. I would not be surprised at all if there is a film about them released shortly. LA Galaxy have sold a thousand extra season tickets already, so he is obviously in demand there."

Darren Wills

Old Inn

St Breward Cornwall

"I am really not bothered. I think it is bad for England but obviously he has run his time. To be honest I am not into sport and there has been little talk of it down here in Cornwall. People don't seem all that interested in the story. They talk more about the local football team than about David Beckham."
