A television company is looking for struggling licensees who would be interested in cash donations from wealthy philanthropists.

Pubs which are at the heart of a community but face an uncertain future may find a sympathetic ear at the Dragon's Den style TV show.

Auditions start this weekend and anyone interested should contact Erin Doyle at Fever Media by emailing erin.doyle@fevermedia.co.uk or calling 020 7428 5756.

We thought there may be some licensees out there that might need a cash injection to save their pub Erin Doyle, Fever Media.

Doyle said: "The show will feature a panel of five philanthropists who will give away £1million to whichever causes they decide are most worthy.

"The programme will be similar to Dragon's Den-style format, in which members of the public will be invited to come along and pitch for cash for absolutely anything and the panel will decide whether or not they deserve it.

"We are currently looking for a wide range of individual stories and thought that there may be some licensees out there that might need a cash injection to save their pub.

"We have held auditions across the country and we'll be holding auditions in Manchester and Leeds this Saturday 18th November and in London on Saturday 25th."
