Tetley/Telegraph team-up

Tetley is joining forces with The Daily Telegraph to offer consumers exclusive content from Tetley-sponsored rugby union players past and present in November's England internationals.

Darran Britton, marketing director for Carlsberg UK, which owns Tetley, said: "Tetley has an unrivalled rugby pedigree. Partnering with the Telegraph reinforces these credentials."

Abbey - all clear

Abbey Well Natural Mineral Water will be available in clear glass bottles only from this month, with the aim of highlighting the purity of the water. The sparkling water was previously packaged in green glass bottles. However, research found that consumer prefer clear glass as it allows them to see the water they are drinking. The still variant has always come in clear bottles and will continue to be sold in that format. The water is available in sizes ranging from 250ml to 1L bottles.

Embassy redesign is a good 1

Imperial Tobacco is launching a limited-edition pack for its Embassy Number 1 cigarettes. The red and maroon two-tone diagonal stripe on the front has been transformed into a figure "1". The design will be used across 10s, 20s, 100s and 200s variants until the end of the year. Imperial Tobacco's trade communications manager Iain Watkins said: "These special packs are available now and will reinvigorate the brand in the pre-Christmas trading period while reinforcing Embassy Number 1's premium yet down-to-earth positioning."

Archers' beer for Away fans

Swindon-based Archers Brewery is appealing to football fans with a new beer called Away Days. The seasonal ale will be available until the end of November and is described as a "pale-coloured beer with a malty zesty finish". At 4.2% abv, the beer is designed for pre-match lunchtimes.
