Innovative show at Pub Business
Food features heavily in the first ever
business-focused national event for pubs only, which has just been announced.
The Pub Business exhibition aims to give licensees turnover-boosting ideas and address key issues such as the smoking ban, licensing reform and food introduction.
Attractions include a Food for Thought seminar, highlighting food issues in the pub trade and featuring award-winning food pub operators and experts, while Pub of the Future offers inspiring new pub designs.
PubChef editor Jo Bruce and Morning Advertiser editor Andrew Pring will give a market overview; Union Pub Company catering and development manager Ben Bartlett will advise on food offers in wet-led pubs and BII chief executive John McNamara will talk about the impact of the smoking ban on food.
John says: "We're delighted to support this new exhibition which focuses on running pubs and increasing profit, and to promote it to our 17,500 members as an innovative and empowering event."
The Pub Business exhibition is at Midlands International Centre, Telford, Shropshire, on 17 and 18 October. For more information visit www.pubbusiness.co.uk
Forward-thinking Peach Pub Company founder Lee Cash and chairman Hamish Stoddart will talk about food for children
In addition to the Food for Thought conference, Pub Business will play host to a fish kitchen with chef demonstrations offering handy hints and recipe ideas to boost seafood sales and the Pub of the Future. Pub designers DLA Interiors, Classic Furniture and GS Magazine created the Pub of the Future to demonstrate how the industry can adapt to maximise income after the smoking ban and licensing law changes.
