Last chance to become BII Licensee of the Year
The BII has sounded a final call for entries to the BII Licensee of the Year, one of the awards to be presented at The Publican Awards 2007.
The deadline for applications to the competition, which is aiming to find the best licensee in the country, is October 6. Now is your last chance to apply.
The BII launched the competition, which is sponsored by Matthew Clark, in September.
The winner will hold the highly acclaimed title of BII Licensee of the Year, attract valuable local and national press coverage for their venue, be a representative for the licensed trade, and collect a trophy, a cheque for £1,000, and tickets to The Publican Awards 2007.
Judges will be looking for applicants that run a successful business, show evidence of professionalism, a commitment to training and development, and excellent service and management standards. They will also be looking for applicants with a winning personality who can stand out as an example for the whole industry.
John McNamara CMBII, chief executive of the BII, said of the award: "This is a fantastic competition open to all licensees irrespective of venue. It's all about the individual and how well they run their business. The application form itself provides an opportunity for team building, and a chance for licensees to benchmark their business. And in applying, licensees can show how proud they are of their business and their team."
