Oxford Inns & Hotels takes over 240 former L&E sites
A new company called Oxford Inns & Hotels is now running a group of 240 former London & Edinburgh Swallow Group (LESG) pubs and hotels.
The Flodrive Group, which is owned by the Khalastchi Group, bought the fixtures and fittings on the sites two weeks ago from administrator Ernst & Young for just over £1m - it was already the freehold owner.
Companies House records show Oxford Inns & Hotels was set up at the end of August by members of the Khalastchi family - a few weeks before Ernst & Young was called in.
Directors are Ephraim Khalastchi, 73, and Peter and Tony Khalastchi, 43 and 45 respectively. The company's registered office is in London's Chandos Place. According to reports, the Khalaschti family funded around 80% of the LESG pub and hotel acquisitions.
Guy Lissimore has been appointed managing director of the new company. He was previously in charge of the tenanted pubs arm at LESG. He joined LESG after the departure of directors Peter Gray and Danny Rogers.
Oxford Inns & Hotels now runs the 240 sites, a mixture of managed pubs and tenancies, from a base in Dartford. Among the sites within the Khalaschti portfolio are the Carnoustie Golf Course Hotel.
