Are you planning anything special for the bank holiday weekend?

"We've got a musician on Friday night - Dave Brown, who was on The X Factor. Then we've prepared a special menu for the weekend. There will be lots of walkers here because it's a lovely spot and I expect we'll be packed on Monday. We'll have fresh fish and Dutch sandwiches on the menu. If you didn't know, a Dutch sandwich is an open beef or ham sandwich with an egg on top."

"We're not doing anything in particular for the bank holiday but we are having a disco and the usual music quiz. We usually only serve until 11pm on the Sunday night but people might stay around for an extra drink or two if they don't have to go to work the next day! I don't think we'll be busy on the Monday - everyone will be off to Blackpool to enjoy an ice cream."

"We've just got back from our holiday that we won with Punch but I know we've got a few things going on. We will be having a DJ on Sunday evening between 8-12pm. He will be playing chilled-out music and people will probably stick around if they don't have to work. Our sister pub, the Old Fire House, will be having bands and other entertainment."

"Bank holidays are quiet around here. People tend to go out of the area. We might have a few boat people from the river and will open on Monday but we don't do anything special because there won't be anyone to do anything special for! We don't normally bother opening on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday because it is just too quiet."
