With World Cup fever gripping the nation we've got a competition to help you make the most of it - and raise some money for a really worthwhile cause at the same time!

With Wayne Rooney now training hard and ready to play if England make it through the group games, we've got the prize of all prizes to give away to the two pubs which most enter into the World Cup spirit: a signed shirt off Rooney's back!

The Publican has teamed up with the Caudwell Charity to help raise money to send a plane full of children on a holiday to Disneyland Paris. The kids, all with a terminal illness, will be flown on a specially chartered plane for a wonderful holiday in the magic kingdom.

The pub that raises the most money for the charity during the World Cup, and before July 31, will win a framed, signed Wayne Rooney England shirt. It's a great piece of sports memorabilia - especially if he puts three past the Brazilians in the final!

Also up for grabs is a framed photo of the 1966 England World Cup-winning team signed by most of the winning players, which will go to the pub with the most unusual or outrageous fundraising event.

Just email footy@caudwell.com or call 0845 3667777 and we'll email you a pack with fundraising tips and ideas. The closing date for donations is July 31. Only donations received and cleared will be entered into the competition.

Competition terms and conditions

The competition will run from 9th June 2006 to 31st July 2006 inclusive.

The competition is open to all public house landlords in the UK. Landlords should register their participation in the competition by telephoning 0845 3667777 or emailing footy@caudwell.com. They will then be allocated their unique competition entry number and fundraising tips to help them raise funds.

Prizes will be awarded as follows;

For the public house raising the most money during the competition, a prize of a framed England 2006 shirt signed by Wayne Rooney.

For the public house with the most outrageous or original fundraising event (to be decided by The Caudwell Charity) a 1966 England World Cup Champions framed photograph signed by the majority of the winning team.

Entry to the competition will only be finalised on receipt of monies from public houses. Monies should be paid to the Caudwell Charity by 31st July 2006 to be entered into the competition. Details of how to make payment will be sent following registration.

The winner will be notified by Wednesday 9th August 2006 and will be announced in The Publican.
