Licensees are decorating their pubs for the World Cup
World Cup fever is reaching a frenzy with licensees decorating their pubs to show their support for the tournament.
With kick-off less than two weeks away, the fight is on for publicans to attract footy fans to their pub.
At the Angel in Baildon, Bradford, licensee Tony McCaul has taken a multicultural approach by displaying a montage of flags of the country's competing.
"We've had problems in Bradford with race relations and I wanted to appeal to everyone, regardless of what team they're supporting," said Tony. "My customers absolutely love it."
In addition Tony has had the pub's benches painted with flags and used his car to advertise coverage of the cup at the Angel. "It's ruined my car, but it doesn't really matter," he added.
