Lisa Williams, of Bewdley, on what she loves about pubs.

I love the pubs in Bewdley, in Worcestershire, where I live.

The Baliff's House on a Saturday for its wine bar feel in an old-beamed building that's tastefully trendy. It's a great way to have a big night out with the girls and maybe have one too many.

The Talbot for a more spit-and-sawdust local, rough around the edges but with plenty of friendly drinkers and a karaoke night for a good old singalong.

The Pack Horse for it's olde worlde charm is the perfect way to end a weekend.

Cosy up with a glass of wine or a pint of cider after Sunday lunch and let the sun set while you chatter away over the papers and wind down ready for the week ahead.

The Mug House by the River Severn on warm and balmy summer nights spent enjoying the river's calm, or in the more family-oriented beer garden, enjoying a barbecue in a real local atmosphere.

Or lunchtime, on a day off. Or after a morning run in the forest, whiling away the hours in front of the Mug House's roaring fire with a big doorstep sandwich and a nice glass of wine, watching the world go by.
