'Not to work so hard and to learn to say no. We ran two pubs over Christmas and it was very tiring. I need to learn to say no so I can take more time to myself. I can't remember when I last had a day off.'

'I haven't really made any resolutions, but if I did, it would be to work less and spend more time with my children. We had a very busy Christmas but it was busy at times when we normally expect it to be quiet and vice versa, so I'd definitely like a break now.'

'No. I don't bother making them. There isn't much point because you never stick to them. I used to make them to lose weight and things like that, but you never end up doing it. I have given up drinking lager starting at the beginning of the year, but it's not really a resolution.'

'To be more sympathetic to my customers... only joking! My resolution would be to rekindle my love affair with Arthur Guinness. We've been through a rocky patch lately, but I hope we can patch things up in 2006.'

'We haven't really made any. Everything's been going well since we took over the pub so we didn't really need too. We were rammed on New Year's Eve so we didn't have time to think of any. If I had to say one - it'd be to stop being so grumpy in the mornings.'
