Woodman team nominated for Publican initiative
Allen Kennedy's staff at the Woodman in Woodmansterne, Banstead, Surrey, are the latest team to be picked out under The Publican's new Proud of Your Staff initiative.
Allen has nominated his team for helping turn the business around since arriving at the M&B pub.
"I took over the Woodman just over a year ago and got some new faces in," says Allen.
"I now have five full-timers and five part-timers and they have all pulled behind me and shown an amazing amount of friendliness and support.
"We've had a few special events like an appeal for the Tsunami fund and they have always said they will do the extra shift and have given 100 per cent.
"It's normally always the manager that gets the praise and not the staff.
"The directors and area managers always say good job to me but miss out the staff. If it wasn't for them this business would be nowhere near as successful as it is.
"They really work together as a team and are more like brothers and sisters than colleagues. The team has taken the business from rock bottom - they're just great really."
