After more than 50 years in the same family's ownership, the Craster Arms in the coastal village of Beadnell, Northumberland, is on the market. The Craster Arms is for sale through the Newcastle officeof Christie & Co on behalf of owner Ronnie Watson. The pub, an ex Peel tower, is stone built with the original sections of the property dating back to the 14th century. David Lee, of Christie & Co, comments: "The Craster Arms has been owned by the same family for 52 years and is reluctantly placed for sale due to our client's other business interests," he said. The property consists of: an open-plan bar area to hold 110 customers; a separate non-smoking room, with internet connection points, to seat up to 30; and a pool room for 20 covers that features a large screen TV. "To the side of the premises is an extensive beer garden, which seats about 150 customers," Lee added. "The garden has picnic tables and a decking area, so al fresco dining can take place during the summer months." Behind the Craster Arms is a car park area with a double garage and storeroom. The owner's accommodation, which is included in the sale, is a three-storey house comprising seven bedrooms, two reception rooms and two bathrooms. This property could be used as letting rooms. Christie & Co is seeking £1.2m for the freehold interest of the Craster Arms.
