Is this the UK's youngest licensee?
A licensee in Wales could be the youngest yet after taking on the challenge of running a pub at the tender age of 20.
James Gwilt, who runs the Jubilee in Letterston, Pembrokeshire, was handed responsibility for the pub when brother David bought it three months ago.
Although he has only been in charge a short time and is potentially the youngest licensee in the UK, he has already seen turnover increase and is making big plans for the future.
As one of only two pubs in the area Mr Gwilt has the benefit of few competitors but he still had to make a good impression with the regulars.
"This is a real drinking mans' pub," said Mr Gwilt. "I've lived in the village for more than 15 years and know the customers but I've not put any of the older drinkers off because of my age.
"As long as you run the business well it shouldn't matter how old you are and it sometimes helps to have a bit of young blood in."
Although he has no previous experience in the pub trade he is confident the business skills he has developed in his education and his enthusiasm will make him a success.
"Once I'm settled I hope to build a 58-seater restaurant and add to the three rooms for guests that we already have. It's all a massive challenge but I'm ready to take it on."
