- Fleurets has launched a new restaurant department.
Richard Negus, previously senior estates manager at Greene King, will head up the new department, which will deal mainly with capital and rental valuations along with some agency work. He will work alongside James Posner, who has already established himself in the sale of restaurants on behalf of Fleurets.
They will both deal with restaurant agency and professional work in London and the Home Counties.
The Stonesmith Partnership is handling the sale of the King William IV at Curry Rivel, near Taunton, Somerset.
The freehouse has a strong reputation for its food sales and there is scope to develop this part of the business further. The business attracts customers from the surrounding areas of Taunton and Langport.
The property is detached and has been refurbished over the last two years and a trade patio has been added in the last six months.

Massive Pub Company has sold two of its London sites as part of a consolidation of its estate.
Liberties, off Camden High Street, was offered as a free-of-tie pub with a lease of 20 years from 1992 and had a guide price of £195,000 and a rent of £80,000 per annum.
The leasehold of the Islington Tup public house was sold for a term of 30 years from 2000 and a rent of £48,000 per annum. The guide price was £175,000.
Both properties were sold to small multi-site operators. It is understood that they will both continue to trade as pubs and the Islington Tup will be de-branded. AG&G and Fleurets were responsible for handling the sales.
The Fat Cat Café Bar chain is opening its 12th site in Wrexham, North Wales. The 420-capacity venue has a bar and restaurant on two levels and is located on King Street in the town.
It will cater for the 30-something clientele in the town, offering food during the day and an upbeat mood in the evening.
Shepherd Neame has transformed its pub the Harrow in Hadlow into a Mulberry Inn. It cost £350,000 to refurbish the site into its pub restaurant concept. The investment includes a new conservatory and catering kitchen as well as new toilets with disabled and family facilities.
The brewer has also purchased the Brittannia Inn, at Dungeness in Kent. It is planning a full external redecoration to enhance the property.
Punch Pub Company has appointed Brian Whitford as acquisitions manager for the Midlands region.
He will be responsible for buying pubs in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Shrewsbury and Telford.
Christie & Co's Newcastle office has moved to larger premises.
The new site is at Shakespeare House, 18 Shakespeare Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.
