Operators from across the sector shared their wins and excitement on social media after a night of celebrating at the Great British Pub Awards (GBPA) 2024.

The event took place at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on 17 September where the best pubs throughout Great Britain were showcased and celebrated. Attendees were entertained a variety of figures, including magician Oliver Couchman and celebrity co presenter and TV star, Ralf Little who hosted the awards alongside The Morning Advertiser (MA) editor, Ed Bedington.

Shining stars

The prestigious ceremony was attended by hundreds throughout the pub sector who arrived at the venue from across the UK. Winners were announced following a thorough judging process, with the overall title going to the Tollemache Arms in Harrington, Northamptonshire. Licensees Joe Buckley and Flo Pearce initially took on the site nine years ago and have since seen the venue flourish into the successful establishment it is today.

Incredible sites

Bedington said: “We’re delighted to be revealing the best pubs in the UK. These operations are outstanding, and we are extremely proud to be able to shine a light on them and the sector which is such a vibrant part of the UK's culture. I’d urge everyone to visit these incredible pubs.

"Our Great British Pub of the Year, the Tollemache Arms, showcases a quintessential British pub – a place for every occasion and everyone- run by two dynamic operators that have turned it into a site to be proud of.
