Bertie Blossom’s
Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran is the owner of Bertie Blossoms, located in Notting Hill in London. Offering delicious Tapas and grower Champagnes, Sheeran opened the establishment, which is known as a neighbourhood restaurant, at the start of 2020.
The site offers a concise array of food and drink options including signature cocktails and standard draught beer and ciders as well as classic cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Set over two floors, the bar and restaurant emphasises offering Champagne from providers that care about the environment.
Upon opening the venue with manager Stuart Camp, Sheeran previously spoke on Jessie Ware’s Table Manner’s podcast. He said: "We essentially called it after our two wives." He continued: "It had a rocky start but it’s opened up now and locals like it.
"For me, four really good beers and three really great things on the menu is what I would want in a bar basically."
Porte Noire
Porte Noir, wine bar and shop opened in 2021, founded by actor and musician Idris Elba who partnered with founder of Connaught Wine Cellars, David Farber.
The venue contains more than 800 bottles and holds one of the largest wine-tasting rooms in London. The actor also curated his own selection of Champagnes and wines after visiting the Sanger Viticultural School in Champagne in 2018. Food is focused around a brasserie style menu, offering meat dishes as well as seafood and charcuterie options. The brand also offer a Champagnes and wine cabinet, where customers can browse beverages on offer.
The Half Moon
Located in Kirdford, West Sussex, the Half Moon is a village gastropub fronted by model and TV personality, Jodie Kidd. Opened in late July 2017, the venue was soon refurbished and offers a herb garden, terrace and various wine, craft beer and IPA options including Harveys, Spitfire and Half Moon Eclipse – a Sussex bitter also available on tap. Tasting, set lunch and Sunday lunch menus are also available offering dishes such as roast pork with apple sauce and citrus and walnut cake with toffee sauce.
Lore of the Land
Opened in Fitzrovia, London in March 2019, Lore of the Land was founded by director, producer and screen writer, Guy Ritchie. The venue showcases a classic English menu with options such as Sunday roasts and smaller items including beef fat popcorn and smoked paprika. Previously known as the Lukin, the site has been a pub since 1829 and spans over three floors. The main bar serves Gritchie beer from Guy Ritchie’s famous brewery located in Wiltshire.
The Fox and Pheasant
Originally founded in 1846 as the Bedford Arms, then changing to the Prince of Wales, the Fox and Pheasant has had many titles and in 1965, the pub adorned it's final name. In 2017, the venue was taken over by singer song writer James Blunt. Located between Chelsea and Fulham, the venue offers a variety of classic English cuisine such as Sunday roasts paired with an extensive snacks menu.
Bar snacks include buttermilk fried guineafowl with honey and mustard mayo. Various wine and cocktail options are also available as well as lager and classic real ale including Harveys and Tribute. The gastropub spans across two floors and offers private dining options for events.
