ETM Group pub the Botanist is holding a three-day Oyster and Chapel Down pop-up bar in Sloane Sqaure from today.

A range of oysters, including West Mersea pearls and Brown Sea Island Dorset rocks, will be sold at £2 each with a glass of Chapel Down sparkling wine. Visitors can get six for £9.50 or 12 for £18.

There is also a selection of seafood from Billingsgate Market including Scottish langoustines served with lemon and mayonnaise, whole dressed Dorset crab and Atlantic prawn cocktails with avocado.

Champagne cocktails such as Pomona Fizz with pomegranate, pear, honey, fresh lime and tonic will be available for £3 or glasses of Chapel Down Vintage Reserve Brut for £6 by the glass or £30 for a bottle.

“The original idea was to mark the start of the oyster season,” said Tom Martin, co-owner of ETM Group.

“Pop-up bars give restaurateurs and chefs a creative licence that they can’t afford to do with their permanent establishments. Londoner’s relish the chance to experience something unique, whether it be a new theme, new location, new menu or design.

The fact that the opportunity to partake is short-lived will only adds to the appeal. We expect in the region of 500-800 people over the three-day period. We expect to profile boast, potential new customers and supplier relationship building.

The pop-up bar is open today until Sunday.
