VC2, the owner of Stiffy's vodka drink, is launching a concerted push for the drink into the English and Welsh on-trade after signing a deal with Matthew Clark.

The 20% ABV drink is sold as a shooter and cocktail mixer in two variants — Jaffa Cake and Kola Kubez.

VC2 hopes the listing will help secure the placement of Stiffy's with large chains such as JD Wetherspoon.

The brand is strong in the Scottish on and off-trades already, selling almost two million bottles of Kola Kubez and Jaffa Cake last year.

VC2's founder Graham Coull said: "We are committed to helping to grow VC2 in the on-trade and believe our brands have a major role to play in driving the category.

Having worked with Matthew Clark for several years we are delighted to have received a national listing."

The Scotland-based drinks supplier is also reviewing the bottle design in order to respond to on-trade demands. The current design is aimed at the off-trade and consumer market.

VC2 Brands also stocks traditional Scottish ales such as the 1488 Whisky Ale and has launched a new coffee-flavoured beer called Double Espresso.

It also supplies Boe Gin and strawberry and cream vodka liqueur Paris Rose.

All the VC2 brands are supported by PoS materials.

Stiffy's material includes T-shirts, beer mats, shot glasses, pens, key rings, posters and tent cards.
