Lowestoft brewer and pub company Green Jack Inns has bought its third pub for an undisclosed sum.

Agent Christie + Co sold the pub for an unnamed corporate client.

Green Jack Inns currently operates a further two pubs in the region, the Locks Inn in Geldeston, Norfolk, and the Triangle Tavern in Lowestoft.

Green Jack Brewery Company is one of the largest brewing companies in East Anglia, and counts the award-winning Ripper ale amongst its portfolio.

The sale of the Stanford Arms is one of four pub deals that Christie + Co completed in the space of just 13 days in the region.

The Queens Head, the only remaining pub in the market town of Eye, in Suffolk, was sold for continued pub use to a first time buyer, who plans to refurbish the property prior to reopening with a traditional pub atmosphere and the introduction of food. The Lord Nelson in Lowestoft was acquired by a local developer.

Finally, Christie + Co sold the Burleigh Arms, prominently located on the Newmarket Road, in Cambridge, to Chris Cozens, who will continue to run the business as a pub/restaurant.

Bill Colquhoun, director, who handled all four sales, said: "Pubs at the lower end of the market are continuing to attract healthy demand from both first-time buyers and experienced operators.

"As transactional activity increases, buyers will continue to return to the market to make selective acquisitions."
