Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson has been on the pull at a pub in Sandwich, Kent.

As part of a new Walkers TV campaign, the actress served behind the bar at the New Inn. Pub Landlord Al Murray was also on hand to host a pub quiz for regulars.

Anderson said: "I have always loved British pubs but I have never worked behind the bar before. I am excited to have learnt how to pull a proper pint - it's always good to have something to fall back on."

Al Murray added: "It was top notch hosting the pub quiz - the punters got stuck in, and we had loads of beautiful British banter. And Pamela - every man's dream barmaid - what could be finer."

The advert, which is due to air this week, is part of a campaign that will see a host of celebs turn up in unexpected situations in the Kent town.

Miranda Sambles, marketing director for Walkers, said, 'The success of this ad relied wholly on capturing the reactions of ordinary people to the extraordinary scenes we created.

"The true stars of the Walkers Sandwich ad were the people of Sandwich. We couldn't script them or direct them but we have been bowled over by their reaction, their fun-loving enthusiasm and their over-whelming hospitality."

The ads a part of Walkers campaign centred around lunchtime. Walkers is partnering with retailers and sandwich outlets across the country to create bespoke 'meal deals' with the Walkers range. The 'Sandwich' ad will be on air throughout until the end of March 2010.
