The Publican launches training guide
The Publican is launching a new service for licensees to help guide them towards the training they need.
The Official Training Company has been set up to make it easier for licensees to find a course at a time when legislation and red tape continues to grow.
With the introduction of the Security Industry Authority licence for door staff and the new licensing regime imminent the company will search for a course at a date, time and venue to suit them.
It will provide the information in an easy to understand manner plus offer updates on the latest legal issues affecting their business.
Backed by all the key associations and industry bodies including The British Hospitality Association, The Restaurant Association, Wine & Spirit Education Trust and Best Practice Forum, the Official Training Company is also an approved British Institute of Innkeeping Awarding Body training centre.
Quantum, the company behind The Publican, will work with current trainers in the hospitality industry to deliver regular professional training in local geographic locations for a competitive price and will actively market these courses 12 months a year to the hospitality industry through Quantum's powerful portfolio of magazines, events and exhibitions including The Publican and Pub and Bar Exhibition.
Director of training, Cindy Hedmann said "Our aim is to become the Expedia for hospitality training courses - offering a 'one stop shop' of training courses from basic health and hygiene, through to wine and spirit courses and even courses looking at the profitability of their business."
