A 300-year-old Suffolk freehouse situated close to the historic and popular town of Woodbridge on the River Deben has changed hands through Fleurets' Sudbury office. The Admirals Head in Little Bealings which went under offer after a short time of coming to the market has been purchased by Rosario and Jazmine D'Angelo. The couple have escaped the rat race of London where they worked for the Chez Gerrard group of restaurants. They aim to further enhance the food-led business where around 85 covers can be accommodated in its bar and adjacent restaurant. Weekly theme nights are to be introduced shortly as well as a number of additions to the existing menu. Fleurets associate Anthony Jenkins said: "The demand for freehouses at this sort of price range along the A12 corridor is extremely high and it is no surprise that an offer was received within a few short weeks. "The Admirals Head was sold on behalf of Fergus and Amanda Little who had owned the property for around three years. "The sale also demonstrates that more people in the catering industry are looking at their options and where they choose to work." Jenkins added that one unusual feature of the property was that it contains two historic wells. One can be viewed in the restaurant, and the second is in the lounge bar and has a glass viewing panel built into the floor. The freehold was sold off an asking price of £425,000.
