- Click here to find out more about other Pokémon pub crawls
The pub crawl, launched through a Facebook event, will be hosted by BrewDog Camden on Sunday, 7 August and pair craft beer with 150 original Pokemon, and bespoke Pokeflights throught the evening.
A description on the page requests "Pokemon Masters" to "show us your skills!".
It states: "At BrewDog we love beer, and what could be better than washing down a cold one on a Pokéhunt?
“We'll be setting off lures at our two Pokéstops all night from 5pm, as well as giving away prizes for the best Pokémon caught in our bar (but remember to use your camera to show our Pokétastic staff!).
“So whether you are Team Rocket or just want to hang with Nurse Joy, remember even a Magikarp becomes a Gyarados and get down!”
Giveaway
Earlier this week, BrewDog’s Leicester venue gave the first three Pokémon trainers to find their hidden pocket monsters a beer on the house - and offering them 15% off drinks and food.
BrewDog aren’t the first to follow the trend with the new gaming craze, with Maxwells Bar & Grill in Covent Garden, London dropping ‘lures’ to entice Pokémon and, in turn, their captors to the area.
Trade increase
Maxwells has seen a reported 26% increase in customers following the release of the game last Thursday (14 July).
The game has already been a hit for hospitality venues in the USA with American pizzeria - L'inizio in Queens, New York - which has seen a 30% increase in food and drink sales as a result of being Pokémon-friendly.
