Treby Arms chef patron takes role at Alice in Wonderland-themed Devon hotel
The chef, whose pub came 19th in 2015’s Top 50 Gastropubs, opened the hotel’s new restaurant – now called Anton Piotrowski at the Glazebrook – with an exclusive dinner last week at the Alice in Wonderland-themed hotel.
Never forget
Anton Piotrowski:
The fit between what the Glazebrook House hotel stands for and what I stand for as a chef is perfect
He said: “The fit between what the Glazebrook House hotel stands for and what I stand for as a chef is perfect. Together we can put Devon on the map for both seasoned travellers and fanatical foodies, delivering an experience they’ll never forget.
Some of the dishes on offer at the hotel’s restaurant include turbot with rosti, foie gras, braised white cabbage and girolles mushrooms; Thai green mussels with kafia lime leaf, lemon grass, coconut foam, kohlrabi slaw and squid ink bread and dark chocolate and tonka bean parfait with granola and rose water foam.
Locally and regionally
Piotrowski added: “Add to this the fact we will continue to ensure that the produce we use is sourced locally and regionally, then overall we have a recipe for success.”
Piotrowski found himself in the culinary spotlight after winning 2012’s edition of Masterchef: the Professionals.
His cooking won the Treby Arms a Michelin star in 2014, which it has retained since.
