BrewDog close Dog Eat Dog site to 'evolve new offering'
The Scottish brewer promised ‘an amazing gourmet hot dog menu’ alongside twelve craft beer taps and 25 varieties of bottled beer at the site on Essex Road, Angel when it opened last October. Drinkers said they had tried to visit the venue but found it unexpectedly closed.
@brewdog just trekked up to Angel to eat some dog and you are closed again. What's going on? Have you shut for good?

@brewdog hello what happened with Dog Eat Dog Angel? I've been there a few times and really enjoyed it, but so soon it has closed down. Thx.

One angry customer wrote on Facebook: “Would have been nice to know you had closed before going out of our way to visit on Sunday. Staff inside were happy to let us stand looking confused at the locked door for a fair while ignoring us while we tried to get their attention.”
A Brewdog spokesperson stressed that the closure was not permanent and said the company was “evolving Dog Eat Dog with an awesome new offering featuring amazing new partners.” There was no word on when the venue is expected to reopen.
Formerly home to a branch of casual dining chain Giraffe, BrewDog previously said it had had to delay opening the site due to planning and licensing setbacks.
