JD Wetherspoon to sell a further 33 pubs

JD Wetherspoon will dispose of a further 33 pubs, with a large portion of the sales taking place in London and the south.

The sites are located in strong town and city centre locations within England, Scotland and Wales.

CBRE and Savills have been appointed to sell the 33 pubs, along with 12 others which the pubco put on the market last year.

Of all 45 appointed to the agents, 23 are in the south or London.

A spokesperson on behalf of the joint agents said: "The portfolio represents an excellent opportunity to acquire high-volume businesses with strong food sales in established locations, which are fitted to an extremely high standard.

"We therefore anticipate a broad range of interest from pub, bar and restaurant groups."

JDW, which owns close to 1,000 pubs, has sold sites to Amber Taverns, Brewhouse & Kitchen, Hawthorn Leisure, Stonegate and Urban Pubs & Bars in recent months.
