CAMRA's Great British Beer Festival 2016: what you need to know

This summer, the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) will once again return to London’s Olympia.

The venue

Based in central London, the GBBF can be accessed by Tube, bus and train.

During the festival's duration Olympia will host over 55,000 drinkers across two halls; the larger Olympia Grand - and the slightly smaller,Olympia National.

Each hall will have a number of bars serving real ale from hundreds of breweries of all sizes across the UK, as well as brewery bars where you can try both well-known brews and limited edition beers from some of the UK’s biggest and best real ale brewers.

International draught and bottled beers from the likes of Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, and there will also be an American Cask bar.

Both halls will also have expanded seating areas in 2016 - plus food and merchandise stalls hand-picked for the festival.

The Great British Beer Festival Trade Session is reserved for members of the industry including pub landlords, pub staff, media and brewers from across the country.

The Trade Session will take place on Tuesday 9th August from 12noon - 5pm and is an opportunity for all sectors of the trade to come together, to meet and network with other industry members and to sample some of the finest beers on the market.

Tickets for the session can be requested below and will be issued by the Festival Organiser by email in July 2016.

Please note licensees are allocated 2 tickets per pub.

Beer and cider

With over 900 real ales, ciders, perries and international beers, the Great British Beer Festival really does have something for everybody.

This year is set to be the best Great British Beer Festival ever with everything from limited edition brews and one-off specials from some of our best known real ale breweries, to award-winning favourites from microbreweries across the UK and even an American Cask beer bar unique to us.

Entertainment

The Great British Beer Festival accompanies an amazing selection of real ale, cider, perry and beers from around the world with music and entertainment on our festival stage.

Rock, pop and alternative bands appear alongside auctions, traditional pub games and Saturday's Big Pub Quiz!

Food

The Great British Beer Festival host a wide selection of food stalls.

From traditional pub fayre to the latest street food, and they all can be matched with our great range of real ales, ciders, perries and beers from all over the world.
